Welcome to the 17th Annual Toronto Independent Film Festival (“T.O. indie”) which we now proudly present at the beautiful Paradise Theatre. Our mission has always been to provide a Big Screen experience for the best Features and Shorts created by Independent Filmmakers. These filmmakers are local, Canadian, and International. We welcome audience members who are curious about the new voices and the artistic vision for the next generation of filmmakers. See you At The Movies.

Backpay follows Steve, a desperate father fighting to save his marriage, who teams up with Murphy, a cop scarred by life as an informant. Their “simple” extortion plot—kidnap a corrupt politician and crack a safe—quickly spirals into danger.
