Highly recommend this great movie. Learned many things about George Washington. Saw it on the 4th of July and everyone clapped when it was over. It was great!!

Finally was able to get to see this film after a week or so of sold out shows in our local
Theater . Beautifully shot, informative and just overall well done . Learned quite a bit about Washington that I hadn’t known. I highly recommend seeing this gem.

I didn't think I would like this movie much but saw it because I like history stuff. I thought it would be more "patriotic" or amateurish.
Quite well done,though not perfect. It reminded me of the type of movies the BBC would make about british history. Washington in this movie was a british citizen,and trying to be a british officer so he could belong to the british upper class. The poster even has him wearing the british flag.
Some of the shots of the landscape were beautiful.The battle scenes were done in a way that was not over the top violent (which is bad) and not heavily sanitized (which is not accurate because war is not bloodless).
Pacing was ok,dialogue was ok,you can tell it had a smaller budget to work with but soon forgot it. I'm probably going to watch the sequel.
