A movie about a cop hunting a serial killer. Lots of bloodshed along the way, plus one icky sex scene featuring devil-worshippers. (Think "Eyes Wide Shut" filmed in someone's living room on a weekday afternoon.) The principal actor (the cop) does a decent job, but the eponymous "psycho killer" has a weird Darth Vader voice and doesn't really exude menace. The chief devil-worshipper meanwhile is more campy than fearsome. The camerawork of the film is nicely done. It's let down by a music score that's thin. Many of the scenes lack any background music at all. The brief scene with "psycho killer" riding in a golf-cart is unintentionally comedic.
Overall, this is a decently watchable film that gets the job done, but it's pretty cliche.
