Like any character and "emotionally driven novel, it is difficult to make the passage to the screen. Over all Julia and rest of cast did great job, although I would have liked to see Anne Heche in the lead. The international portrayals were vivid and delicious, having been to all 3 locations I think it was a great portrayal. It was a tad too long... and perhaps not the type of film some people may not find engaging.

Something about it wouldn't let me give it 5 stars. Not sure what it was.

Really disappointed by this movie, but what do you expect from a movie based on a book? The books are always better.

I have never read the book before, however I thought the movie was absolutely amazing! Especially when Elizabeth (played by Julia Roberts) was staying in Italia. I was very hungry, mmm pasta!! After watching the movie, I decided to pick up the book "Committed" by Elizabeth Gilbert (the sequence of Eat Pray Love) and I must say, so far its absolutely great!! Julia Roberts, in my opinion, played an amazing actress, worked perfectly for this film!! Great movie.

I was really excited about this movie after seeing previews. Julia Roberts is always in the best movies, but this was a big disappointment. I started falling asleep during India. I didn't get the point of it and it was really slow.
