Agree with the last few reviews about Julia - she's so great, and I'm really glad to see her back in this type of leading role again!

Not as good as the Book but the movies rarely are. All in all a very good movie that I would recommend to all my friends since the movie actually contains a very good message as to how one should try to live one's life. Julia Roberts was excellent in the part and I have nothing but good things to say about her character, acting and the movie on a whole. A definite girlie movie but if your boyfriend or hubby happens to be ok with "spiritual girlie, drag him along. Otherwise see with your closest girlfriends. One last thing is that the movie made me feel more self aware, conscious, and want to meditate towards the things that are really important to me! Janice

One of the best movies of the year! It was very profound and made you think about life and what you expect out of it. I am not usually a big fan of Julia Robert but I can't imagine anyone else doing as good of a job as she did in the movie! Very impressed!!!

Although some parts were dry, Julia Roberts is great and so was the story line.

If anyone other than Julia Roberts was in this role, I'm not sure it would have held my interest all the way. It didn't feel like a true story to me as it was hard to beleive she could make immediate friends so fast that allowed her into their lives so readily. I expected to be moved more...but I left wanting more.

I expect more - wasn't that impressed with it. Nice to see all the cultures but not much story behind...

Why on earth did they even bother to make this film, I wonder?
