There were many likable characters: Jimmy, the Dog, Mr. Terrific, the man who can create kryptonite, and Superman.
Sometimes it goes over the top - like the huge monster, and Superman not being able to get out of the proton river, etc.
Not perfect, but highly enjoyable!

This is a Superman who will rescue everyone!
Superman lives up to his name. If you ever wondered what would happen to a good person who ended up with unfettered power, this movie is a feel-good answer.
Simply put, the acting is great. The pacing doesn't miss a beat, and the feel-good moments don't take away from the gravity of the plot. Special props to the villains in this piece, who sparked out and were not only believable but a little too relatable. Worth the money and the evening out.
