i have to give respect to the acting in this film... the imperfection of Cruise`s family was really shown... one of my few teary-eyed moments was when the boy wanted to see them fight the alien machine... otherwise conceptually it was bad...

The movie talked about nothing , just like "the Sign". It promote we should pollute the earth even harder, because it is the only way to save us from Aliens. How ridiculous!!!

Brain-dead monkeys smoking boat loads of crack could have made a better movie. Ending was absolutely terrible...as if they ran out of budget and just rolled the credits after a one-liner.

The idea of the movie was excellent, however, the ending leaves much to be desired. It destroys the whole concept of what was built up. This ending does not leave any chance for the audience to anticipate any further contact with the invaders. Just as with the movie Predator, which I think is the best concept of alien invasion yet, the movie seems to just die. I really wish that they had made the human race fight. Perhaps the invaders were made too invincible to leave room for the possibility that there could be a fight. Darn, because until the ending I was really pulling for this one. I thought this movie was very entertaining and i was definatley awake the whole time, however i too was disappointed by the ending, but overall i thought it was excellent the effects were great and i loved Dakota Fanning.
