LIFE CHANGING! Raised a Catholic and having drilled into my head that Christ died for our sins was not very real to me until Mel Gibson brought to the screen this beautiful sacrifice He made for us. It has renewed my faith and this is a MUST-SEE for all Christians. Thank you MEL GIBSON!

I went to see this movie twice with a group of friends and the secon with me and my buddy. I hold back my tears in watching this movie and made me ponder. I profess to be a Christian and sometimes doubt if Christ existed but after seeing this movie, it makes me consider this question more thoroughly and how it affects my own life.

Not a bad movie. I think Mel has gotten stange in his old age. Starting with Payback and now with this. I assume the story was told accuratly but it seems he used the brutality to tell the story. It just seemed a little over the top.

Absolutely AWESOME movie!!! I know the story inside out and they did an incredible job keeping to the facts! And sorry guys, the truth is the truth whether you like it or not!!! If you think this was Anti-Semetic, then maybe we should stop showing movies like Shindler`s List too! History is history like it or not! Thanks Mel for this incredible movie!!! - everyone that I know that watched it LOVED it and we all cried! Everyone needs to see this!

For all those who feel this movie is brutal and harsh, I say this to you. What do you think faith is? It is brutal...it is harsh...it goes against everything in human nature...and that`s the beauty of it. Oh, and before you go and worry about this movie causing "hate crimes" (which it hasn`t)...I invite you believers to pick up a little book called Revelations. INCREDIBLE movie...much love to God for directing Mel.

If you think its anti-Semitic you don`t know the story. If you think its too violent you don`t know the story. The story is about God`s love. He loves us so much that He was willing to go through anything - no matter how brutal or horrible - to save us. It doesn`t matter who killed him - it was because of our sin that he had to die. He WANTED to die because he WANTED to save us because he LOVES us more than we can imagine.

I now know the purpose of this film. It`s purpose is to renew man. To renew the feelings in us that our ancestors felt upon witnessing the death of Christ. In an age where Satan is continually growing in strength, we need a reminder of why we are here, and who we are here for. God is building His army.

An accurate depiction of the death of christ. However, I would have enjoyed more time dedicated to the life and teachings of christ. Although his death was meaningful to all Christians his life was meaningful to everyone. I thought showing the gory death of Christ, instead of the passion and peace of his gentle teachings was a bit of a cope out by Mel Gibson

it`s ironic when people complain of the graphic violence & torture that happened 2000 years ago...humanity continues to allow: domestic abuse & violence, mutiliations in Africa, oppression/slavery, wars, video games (Manhunt), tons of other violent TV & movies, ... and unfortunately much, much more. Jesus` torture & death was reality caused by our inhumane actions.
