  I would have preferred Gibson focusing on the life of the Rabbi as opposed to his death. An unnecessarily sadistic film.

  THE RISEN CHRIST!!! That was the message I took away. Christ may have died, but He rose again! There couldn`t have been a sweeter ending than when they showed Jesus ALIVE once again after His death. If Jesus went through even half of what was depicted in this movie, I will never ever ever be able to thank Him enough for dying in my place. Thank you Jesus, and God richly bless you Mel!!!

  I found it to be very moving. I think I flinched every time they struck him and I wanted to cry out to stop them. It was a very powerful movie and I will not forget it.

  THIS IS TRULY JIS PASSION........ALL THE JEWISH PEOPLE THAT ARE COMPLAINING...PLEASE DONT......THIS IS A PART OF OUT RELIGION AND PEICE OF HISTORY.......WHEN MOVIES ARE MADE ABOUT WORLD WAR 2.....DOES THE REST OF THE WORLD COMPLAIN AND SAY....O THATS AN ATTACK ON THE GERMAN PEOPLE.....NO.....SO PLEASE ENJOY THIS GREAT PORTRAIT OF A GREAT MANS FINAL HOURS........

  Unlike what others said, if you are not religous or on the fence, this movie will only be an average film. It has good acting, artistic use of gore and tells the story well. However, the story itself is not exceptional. Jesus is Gods gift to man and by taking the sins of man upon himself, he will be mans gift to god. He takes a serious beating and gets lashed in gory detail, walks his cross to a hilltop while falling down 5 or 6 times with screams of anguish. His follows of course moan for him and feel their love for him grow stronger. Not an exciting movie.

  Great movie!!! I don`t know how can someone see that the Romans killed Christ. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5..10..15 Romans carried out the sentence; Jews (clergy & masses), ont he other hand, forced the Roman governor to crucify Jesus, otherwise they would`ve revolted or uprised!!! The Governor washed his hands of this sentence & told Christ so. Great movie, it states the reality of Christ`s brutal death; it`s up to identify the killers. I re-made my mind!!!
