By far the best movie I have seen. It was extremely draining to watch and yet I still have many unanswered questions. Jim Caviezel was amazing as Jesus.

I thought this movie was okay. The only problem I had with it was that it was about 15min too long. The movie dragged on I kept thinking too myself, "just end already". I thought Mel should of also explored of Jesus background more as a carpenter, and how he came to have so much power. A little more background information would of given audience members like myself who are not religous a more complete understanding of the history of Jesus. But all in all, I guess it was alright...3.5 stars.

The Passion takes a man who was crucified almost 2000 years ago and puts him right in your face. For people who think this is sadistic, that`s the way it was and Christ was not the first to be crucified. On any given day, you could wander into the "holy land" and dozens of people were crucified along the way, usually on the trees which lined the road. They chose this method for slow death and a person could live for days this way. If this film effects you, then the art has accomplished its task. Cruel, sadistic - you only have to take a look at what`s going on in today`s world under dictatorship. Every frame is a masterpiece - filmmakin

Scolastic and exact theological work that represent the historical fact of the last 12 hours of Christ`s passion.

This was probably one of the most inhumane films ever created and meant only for the severly demented. Unfortunately, there was no point to this film, consider this; had the title been `the passion of the Joe` would you have ventured off for a viewing? Kudos to Mel Gibson who has effectively established a weak character out of a person who holds an immense presence throughout society. The director gives no valid reason for his audience to bond with, nor feel any sympathy toward this character. So basically what we have here is a brutal viewing of an execution - if for nothing else one may exit this movie thankful that nowadays we are more

I am sure this movie will motivate different people to interpret it to have different meanings. Being a Catholic it had a profound meaning to me, and I am sure to thousands of other Catholics and Christians who really understand what`s going on in the events as portrayed in this film by Mel Gibson. All I can say is that those who understand are one with Mel, which means we are spiritually united with this wonderful man who has the courage to live his faith to the fullest. Thanks Mel from the bottom of our hearts we the ones who understand, know what`s for all of us in each and every wounded inch of the body of Christ, for like a mother who g
