To the person who said "If you think this movie doesn`t have a plot... read the BIBLE!!!", I just wanted to point out that reading the book the movie is based on should not be a requirement for ANY movie. And if it is then the movie is a failure because that proves that it cannot stand alone as a comprehensive work. A movie is supposed to tell a story, and this one didn`t. It just played on your emotions, knowing full well that an enormous chunk of the population is christian. Absolute Hollywood cashcow.

Alright, this movie is an epic! If you think this movie doesn`t have a plot... read the BIBLE!!! Like sheesh guys, this is like about Jesus and when you say it has absolutely no plot at all, like seriously think for a second, read the 4 gospels of the BIBLE, get some background. 5 Stars all the way. deserves 21 stars. Sheesh Kapeesh.

Pretty boring. I have no doubt that for the religious this movie was an incredible ride, but for the unbiased movie-goer I felt that this movie just had no storyline whatsoever and was basically a Hollywood cashcow. I mean, nothing happened! A man was tortured, and that`s about it. I had no problem with the graphic nature of the film, but I had a great problem with the lack of plot. As a movie, it was mediocre. As a "religious fable" or whatever you want to call it, I can tell from it`s top rating that it has succeeded. Next they`ll make a movie about a pregnancy in a barn and call that a classic too, I bet. Please.

Quote - "Greatest work of fiction I ever saw." I find this very offensive, for some of us who follow christ as a faith(christianity) and to watch our savoir and yours even if it is just a movie and you dont beleive in it please dont crush peoples feeling who are in the right, hopefully one day you will see the light, and may God bless you. on other subjects I have seen this movie once a long time ago when it was in theaters with a friend, i thought it was VERY well done and captured what it might have been like very good. Maybe people out there that are not beleivers may have a broader aspect of the Passion of the Christ!

deep in our hearts, we knew He was the Son of God, and Mel Gibson, and Jim showed us here that we fail our God, our own true God by sacrificing His Son, with such accurate and meaningful understanding ....superb
