I think this movie is a great interpritation of what Jesus went through. For you people that said this movie does not reflect christ what the hell are you talking about? He loved us so much that he rather suffered and walk through all that pain to save us. How can people this movie be offensive?

Amazingly well done. I could visual more then what I was seeing. I think this is wonderful for those to see and understand just what happened. I could not keep up with the tissues needed for how it touched the lives of so many of us.

For those of you who have seen the entire movie instead of leaving half way through, as you were unable to take all the blood, you will have seen that the Anti-Semitic wave, which came after its release, may not just have been triggered by this movie. Anti-Semitism runs deep in the hearts of many and we don’t need Mel to tell us that. And for those of you, who laugh at Jesus being brutally beaten, even if he was not the Son of God he was still a person and you are just sick. Also I agree with the person who wrote comment on the movie not the religion, so stop your crap and just comment on the bloody movie. No pun intended.

So many people are saying it was too brutal,he went too far(Mel). Why?He didn`t make up the story, all he did was give a visual of the Bible,of the truth...in the movie it is asked "What is truth?"... TRUTH HURTS

The critical response is amazing and for that reason, the movie is interesting. Are we all that disturbed about the state of humankind? And are we living in fear? It would seem so.The violence was over-stated. But that is typical of television shows and movies in general! Jesus preached a lot about love, forgiveness and redemption. Renewal, rebirth and the Gospel does not portray such a violent scene of the Crucifixation. I think that Mel has taken certain liberties.

It really helped me to understand Jesus"walk and journey. I really liked the way evil was portrayed.
