  I am a big fan of both the original movie & John Wayne so I went in with a jaundiced view on any actor or new treatment of the original. SURPRISE ... not only was the movie directed & fresh to the new screenplay but the actors pulled off their parts like they were born to do so ... a great movie even today ... well acted and well worth the price of admission.
